1970'S

It started in the early 70’s when our founder, Mr. Neo Kim Eng, set up Chop Kim Aik, a spare parts retail shop along Old Tampines Road, Singapore, specializing in British Bedford & Leyland lorry parts.

1980'S

In 1983, Mr Neo opened another automotive spare parts retail outlet, Soon Aik Auto Parts Trading Co., at Defu Lane 10. The business expanded to deal with Japanese made truck’s spare parts such as Nissan UD, Mitsubishi FUSO, Hino & Isuzu and Soon Aik Auto Parts Trading Co. was appointed the authorized dealer for Nissan UD. At the same time, Soon Aik expanded its business scope to supply parts for all passenger cars and commercial vehicles.

1990'S

In 1994, Soon Aik was appointed as an authorized dealer for Fleetguard filters.

In 1995, Soon Aik was converted into a Private Limited Company and AutoZone was established. Soon Aik increased its sales channel to include export, wholesale and retail.

Soon Aik was appointed Parker Racor’s distributor in 1998.

2000

Further product development for brakes, lubricants, filters and engine parts were released under VETTO, REV-1 and FILTEQ brands.

Autosaver was established as a general car service and repair workshop in 2002.

In 2003, the company underwent major restructuring and Soon Aik Holdings Pte Ltd was formed, together with 3 subsidiary companies – Soon Aik Auto Parts Trading Pte Ltd, Filtec Pte Ltd and Autosaver Pte Ltd.

In 2007 we expanded our focus in brand development from product to intellectual property in areas of franchising, process and systems. As one of the initiatives, Autosaver decided to offer its brand of car maintenance business concept as a franchised package to interested business partners in 2007.

In 2009, Soon Aik Auto Parts Trading Co. Pte Ltd was changed to Spare-Parts Zone Pte Ltd. Autozone Automotive Pte Ltd, Traczone Pte Ltd and Euphoria Dreamcast were formed as subsidiaries of Soon Aik Holdings, together with the existing Filtec Pte Ltd and AutoSaver Pte Ltd.

2010

2010 - presents

In 2010, with business expansion, a bigger premise was needed by Soon Aik Group and its subsidiaries. Hence Soon Aik Holdings, together with most of its subsidiaries, Spare-Parts Zone Pte Ltd, Filtec Pte Ltd, Autozone Automotive Pte Ltd and Traczone Pte Ltd move into its new headquarters that is located at 14 Ang Mo Kio street 63 with a land size of 100,000 sq.ft. With this move, it paves way for efforts in consolidation and cohesiveness within the different subsidiaries.

Soon Aik continues to grow through the implementation of best business practices, seeking out strategic alliances, investments and opportunities, and constantly evolves to meet the ever-changing needs and business environment.

2015

In 2015, SAG Group acquired Power Trans Engineering Pte Ltd to expand our business into Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) engineering services for transmissions.
