Like a typical SME in Singapore, Soon Aik Global Pte Ltd is a family-owned business that grew from the founding generation and has been passed on to the second generation. The company has since been expanding beyond its initial size.

With the new second generation management, Soon Aik Global Pte Ltd has expanded the business scope by diversifying into different industries and producing reliable and good products on top of providing the best value added services to existing long-time customers and business associates.

Soon Aik Global Pte Ltd has been actively engaging new talent from managers to senior staff members in order to continue expansions regionally and globally. The skills and experience from them contribute to the organization not just operationally but also strategically. With them to assist in mapping out a long-term business plan and executing it, the rate of success is increased.

In addition, Soon Aik Global Pte Ltd is increasingly looking beyond its current business areas to acquire new competencies that would enable Soon Aik to grow and expand more rapidly than before.

Our directors have a wealth of experience in this field of business and they are running the management team. Along with the entrepreneurial spirit, finance, business relations and marketing skills, the board and management will direct Soon Aik Global Pte Ltd and its group of companies to continuously break barriers and reach greater heights.




Neo Chee Eng was appointed to our Board in 2015 and is our Executive Chairman. He is responsible for the formulation of our Group’s strategic directions, business development and expansion plans. He has been with our Group since 1983 when our founder, Neo Kim Eng, set up Soon Aik Auto Parts Trading Co. and Neo Chee Eng became its managing partner. In 1995, when the partnership was converted into a private limited company, Neo Chee Eng became the managing director of Soon Aik Auto Parts Trading Co Pte Ltd, now known as Spare-Parts Zone. He is currently the assistant honorary secretary of the Singapore Cycle & Motor Traders’ Association.
Jimmy Neo was appointed to our Board in 2015 and is our CEO, responsible for overseeing the businesses of our Group. He has more than 20 years of experience in the automotive parts and industrial supplies. Between 1984 and 1993, Jimmy Neo was an army officer with the Singapore Armed Forces. In 1994, he joined Soon Aik Auto Parts Trading Co. and when the partnership was converted into a private limited company in 1995, he became a director of Soon Aik Auto Parts Trading Co Pte Ltd. During the tenure, he established work processes and sales channels to include export, wholesale, retail and service/repairs. In 1999, Jimmy Neo was appointed the managing director of TQ Services Pte Ltd, now known as Filtec when the company was set up to carry out product development in brakes, lubricants, filters and engine parts and supply our in-house specialty brands such as VETTO, REV-1 and FILTEQ. In 2004, he resigned as a director of Soon Aik Auto Parts Trading Co Pte Ltd to head Filtec’s newly created Industrial business segment till now. Jimmy Neo is an executive committee member of the Business Leaders Alumni Club in Singapore. Jimmy Neo holds a Bachelor of Science (Industrial Engineering) degree.
Edward Neo was appointed to our Board in 2015 and is our Deputy CEO, responsible for business development and sales of our Group. He has more than 25 years of experience in the automotive parts and accessories industry. Edward Neo started his career as a sales executive with Soon Aik Auto Parts Trading Co. in 1986 where he was involved in the sales of automotive parts. In 1991, he joined Great Eastern Life Assurance Co. Ltd. to be a career agent. In 1995, he re-joined our Group as the managing partner of Autozone Automotive Enterprise when the partnership was set up to undertake the import and wholesale of automotive parts. He has since been in-charge of the operations of our automotive business segment. In 2009, Edward Neo became the managing director of Autozone Singapore when it was incorporated to take over the business of Autozone Automotive Enterprise. He was appointed as a director of Spare-Parts Zone in 2010.
Neo Ching Kiat is our Country Director, Singapore and is responsible for the Group’s overall businesses in Singapore. He joined our Group in 1995 when he was appointed as a director of Soon Aik Auto Parts Trading Co Pte Ltd when the company was incorporated. In 2009, he became a director of Autozone Singapore when the company was incorporated to take over the business of Autozone Automotive Enterprise in the supply of automotive aftermarket parts and accessories to consumers. Subsequently, in 2010, he resigned from his directorship in Spare-Parts Zone to focus on the business of Autozone Singapore. Neo Ching Kiat holds a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from Nanyang Technological University.
Johnson Yap is our Chief Financial Officer and oversees the finance and accounting functions of our Group and is responsible for our financial and management accounting, audit, corporate finance, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management as well as tax matters. Johnson Yap started his career with Miyoshi Precision (S) Pte Ltd as an accounts supervisor in 1989 before he joined Astina Electronics (S) Pte Ltd as a finance and administration assistant manager from 1990 to 1998. In 1998, he worked as an accounts manager at Draka Far East Pte Ltd, overseeing the accounting and finance functions of the group. From 1999 to 2002, he was a finance manager at Ghim Li Fashion Co Pte Ltd where he assisted the chief financial officer in the preparation for the company’s initial public offering, amongst other responsibilities. In 2002, he joined Penton International Limited, a listed company in Singapore, as a financial controller overseeing the group’s financial reporting duties. From 2002 to 2006, Johnson Yap was the chief financial officer of Ban Joo & Company Ltd, a listed company in Singapore. From 2006 to 2009, he was the finance manager at Suntec Real Estate Investment Trust, a listed real estate investment trust in Singapore, where he reported to the chief executive officer. From 2009 to 2014, Johnson Yap was the financial controller of XMH Holdings Ltd, where he spearheaded its listing in Singapore and was overall in-charge of its accounting and finance functions. He joined our Group in January 2015. Johnson Yap graduated from University of Southern Queensland, Australia in 2002 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, majoring in accounting. He has been a member of CPA Australia since 2006.
Ivy Lee is our Finance Manager, assisting our Chief Financial Officer in finance and accounting functions, including treasury, financial planning, credit management, tax and risk management, and other general corporate and administrative functions of our Group. She started her career as an audit assistant at Ahmad Zaki Association, a public accounting firm, in 1994, before she joined Tat Lee Bank Ltd as a customer service assistant in the accounts department in 1996. In 2000, Ivy Lee joined Sin Thai Hin Holdings Pte Ltd as an accounts executive responsible for the group’s finance and accounting functions. She joined our Group in 2004 as a finance manager and has since then been responsible for our finance and accounting functions. Ivy Lee is an associate member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, United Kingdom. She holds a London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Highest Diploma.
